Who wants a feel good moment to wash away the wet weather blues? Time for an update on our Ethical Scheme! Drum roll please...
We’re proud to give back to the communities that bring us our tea. Since 2009, we’ve worked directly with the Point Foundation – a small charity doing wonderful work with vulnerable young people in Rwanda (where we source the bulk of our everyday brew), and we’re chuffed to announce that through on-pack donations, tea schools and a little ad hoc fundraising, we've raised (drum roll please 🥁) over £600,000 and counting!
Our donations are split into 4 categories: inclusive education, vocational training, sustainable farming, and community support. That covers things like teapigs house, a safe place for disabled children and their teachers to live, to helping students in Mwogo learn skills they can use to create their own businesses, and everything in between!
